Colour-vision simulation preview

Compare a screenshot under named colour-vision simulations and export labelled PNG images.

Compare the original with full-severity protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia approximations using Machado 2009 matrices in linear sRGB, also used by Chromium. Up to 20 MB / 16 megapixels. This is visual review, not accessibility certification.

What it does

Compare a screenshot under named colour-vision simulations and export labelled PNG images.

How to use it

  1. Choose a screenshot and generate the original plus three full-severity simulations.
  2. Processing stays in your browser. No upload or sign-up.

Example

Generate protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia previews of a chart screenshot.

Methodology

Full-severity Machado 2009 matrices transform linear sRGB channels; results are clipped and converted back to sRGB. Canvas adds a label strip.

Limitations

JPEG/PNG/WebP up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels. Simulations approximate selected colour-vision deficiencies; they do not represent every viewer or certify accessibility. Alpha is preserved; metadata is discarded.

Automation

This tool runs in your browser. No upload API or MCP endpoint is available.
