Printable graph-paper generator

What it does

Generate A4 or US Letter graph, dotted or ruled paper as a printable PDF with custom spacing and colour.

How to use it

1. Choose A4 or US Letter, square grid, dots or ruled lines. Set 2–25 mm spacing, 5–40 mm margins and a colour.
2. Generate the PDF, then print at 100% or Actual size with Fit to page disabled. The on-screen preview is illustrative, not to scale.
3. Check printed spacing with a ruler. Printer margins and scaling can affect physical output. One portrait page is generated.

Example

Choose A4 and 5 mm grid spacing for squared paper with 10 mm margins.

Methodology

pdf-lib draws vector lines or circles in points, converting millimetres using 72 / 25.4 points per millimetre.

Limitations

No printer calibration, landscape layout or multi-page designs. Very light colours may not print clearly. Screen preview spacing is illustrative.
