Screen pixel test

Show solid colours and a grid for manual monitor inspection, with optional fullscreen display.

Inspect your screen manually using solid colours and a grid. Clean the screen first. Browser zoom and device scaling affect grid pixels.

Arrow keys or Space change patterns. H hides or shows controls. Escape exits. There is no flashing sequence or automatic diagnosis.

What it does

Show solid colours and a grid for manual monitor inspection, with optional fullscreen display.

How to use it

  1. Start the test and inspect white, black, red, green, blue and grid patterns. Use buttons or arrow keys to change patterns.
  2. Fullscreen is optional. H or a background click hides or shows controls; Escape exits. Finish inspection records completion only when you choose it.
  3. This is a manual visual check. It does not diagnose, count or repair pixels. Browser zoom and operating-system scaling affect the grid.

Example

Switch from a white screen to black, then inspect primary colours for visible irregularities.

Methodology

Browser CSS displays static solid sRGB colours and a 20-CSS-pixel grid. Patterns change only on user input.

Limitations

No automatic hardware access, calibrated colour measurement, burn-in repair or flashing sequences. Browser fullscreen may be unavailable.

Automation

This tool runs in your browser. No upload API or MCP endpoint is available.
