What it does
Convert minutes per mile to minutes per kilometre, or the other way around.
How to use it
- Choose your pace unit and enter minutes and seconds. For an 8:30 mile, enter 8 minutes and 30 seconds — not 8.30 minutes.
- One mile is exactly 1.609344 kilometres. Divide a mile pace by that number to get a kilometre pace; multiply to go the other way.
- Finish times show how long common distances take at a constant pace. Hills, fatigue and stops can change your actual time. Half marathon and marathon distances are 21.0975 km and 42.195 km.
- All calculations on this page run in your browser. No account or activity data needed.
Example
8:00 min/mile is approximately 4:58 min/km; a constant-pace 5K takes approximately 24:51.
Methodology
Pace conversions use exactly 1.609344 kilometres per mile. Finish times use unrounded values.
Limitations
Constant pace is an assumption, not a race prediction.
Automation
