Screenshot annotation

What it does

Add arrows, numbered markers and text to a screenshot, then export PNG privately in your browser.

How to use it

1. Open a JPEG, PNG or WebP image. Choose an arrow, numbered marker or text and a colour. Click to place; arrows need a start and an endpoint.
2. Alternatively enter percentage positions and choose Add annotation. Undo removes the last annotation; Clear removes all. Export when the preview is ready.
3. 20 MB and 40 megapixels per source; output fits within 2,400 pixels per side. Up to 100 annotations and 120 characters per text label.

Place an arrow pointing to a button and a numbered marker beside an error, then download an annotated PNG.

Methodology

Canvas rescales the source without enlarging it and draws annotations at percentage coordinates. The exported PNG flattens annotations into pixels.

Limitations

No editable project file, redaction or automatic object detection. Text at an image edge can clip. Original metadata and animation are not retained.

This tool runs in your browser. No upload API or MCP endpoint is available.
