Paper box-net generator

What it does

Generate a rectangular tray and optional lid with cut lines, fold marks and SVG/PDF templates.

Example

An 80 × 100 × 25 mm tray uses a 150 × 180 mm template; 1 mm clearance per side gives an 82 × 102 mm lid base.

Methodology

Original millimetre geometry builds a cross-shaped net with four tapered glue tabs. SVG and vector PDF use the same cut/fold segments; a 50 mm line checks printing scale.

Limitations

Thin card only; width/length 10–300 mm, depth 5–100 mm, tab at least 2 mm and at most depth/half-base dimensions. Lid clearance 0–5 mm per side. Lid tabs shorten to lid depth. Custom-size PDF pages require large enough paper; material thickness is not compensated. Physical fit and print-scale checks remain necessary.
