PDF watermarks & page numbers

Stamp review copies and number selected PDF pages with configurable placement and opacity.

25 MB / 200 pages. Stamps are not redaction or copy protection. Rotated pages must be normalized first.

What it does

Stamp review copies and number selected PDF pages with configurable placement and opacity.

How to use it

  1. Choose a PDF up to 25 MB / 200 pages. Enter text, optional page numbers and a page range such as 1-3,5; blank means all pages.
  2. Set placement, 8–72 pt text size, opacity and the first number. Review the preview before downloading.
  3. Processing has a cancellable 15-second deadline and 50 MB output cap. Files remain local.

Example

Choose pages 1-3,5 with numbering starting at 1 to stamp those pages as 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Methodology

pdf-lib draws centred text at top, middle or bottom of selected pages in a local worker. Selected pages are processed in ascending document order and numbered consecutively.

Limitations

Not redaction or copy protection. Rotated pages are rejected; normalize rotation first. Latin font only. Editing can invalidate digital signatures. Stamps may overlap existing content.

Automation

This tool runs in your browser. No upload API or MCP endpoint is available.
